"That I will have ruined his linage!" Sweet Daydream looked crestfallen. "I am so plain, and he...isnt!"
Harmony thought about it for a long moment. "That is the oddest reason I have yet heard for a blessing." she said pointedly. Daydream cringed hard at the harsh response. Weren't the Ascended supposed to be all knowing, kind, and benevolent?
"Is....it...?" she ventured cautiously. "Then, you will not bless me?" her head tilted curiously.
"I didn't say that." the mare's voice in her ears as ermines don't speak. "I just said it is the oddest. I haven't been giving blessings very long, only one full turn of the seasons and a season more."
Daydream exhaled in relief but the uncertainty came rushing back only a moment later.
"But.."
In Harmony did a loud chirp, like reprimand.
"I understand your trepidation, but the Motherfather has already decided!" she softened her tone. "It'll be alright, truly. That you're worrying about such a thing is silly but kind. Even in the briefest encounter, you are wholly concerned about him. Think of yourself more in this moment."

Daydream was taken aback a bit. Now that it had been pointed out to her.. Harmony continued.
"In fact, the first thing you thought to do was to bless your expected ones. Please afford yourself the same protection and kindness."
Before Sweet Daydream could say anything more, words echoed in her ears. They felt heavy, weighty, and like they quivered in power slightly as each word was spoke.
"Your foals will be blessed by the best attributes of both parents, may their rainbows brighten the world and their kindness ease suffering."
Daydream still looked a little apprehensive. In Harmony's tail stiffened and she started chattering and barking at the other, looking annoyed. The kio took a small step back.
"I don't know what you said, but I think I understand anyway." she said. "Thank you for your blessing. I'll try to not worry."
The ermine nodded, using her little paw to point towards her face and then towards Sweet Daydreams'. The message was clear, the mare would know.
Daydream nodded and inclined her head forward in a respectful bow. When she looked up, the ermine was gone and her belly felt warm and full of new lives.
